The Loan & Money Market module is designed to facilitate the management of various types of debt and investment agreements within your organization.
Before creating an agreements, ensure that you have set the following in the system:
- Entity
- Counterparty
- Portfolio
- Cost Center
- Bank Accounts
- Debt Instrument Types
Creating Loan Agreements
Before creating any loan agreements, ensure the debt instruments created match the actual agreements to facilitate accurate reporting and accounting.
Types of Debt instruments:
- Commercial paper deposit
- Commercial paper issued
- Short-term deposit (internal and external)
- Short-term loan (internal and external)
- Long-term deposit (internal and external)
- Long-term loan (internal and external)
- Interest rate swaps (IRS)
- Cross currency interest rate swaps (CCIRS)
Notification Feature for Agreement Expirations
Notification feature alerts users about upcoming agreement expirations, helping to manage renewals or terminations efficiently.
To activate this feature:
1. Go to your profile settings.
2. Specify which modules you wish to receive notifications from.
3. Set the number of days in advance you'd like to receive these alerts.
4. Notifications will use the "End date" of agreements to alert you in the system.
After a loan agreement expires, it's not deleted from the system. Instead, it's moved to the Archive, where it remains accessible for reference or historical analysis.
